Residents of all ages are invited to a free community ‘infomarket’ event next week to meet local organisations and groups to find out more about the help and services available to them in their local community. Organisations present will include Connected Communities, Suffolk Police, Mind and One Life Suffolk.
Organised by East Suffolk Council’s Communities Team, the event is taking place on Wednesday 23 November between 2.30pm and 5.30pm. Members of the public can drop-in to the event, with no need to book a place.
The event will also feature a ‘volunteer match-up’ where anyone interested in volunteering can find out more about local volunteering opportunities and see which opportunities align most with their skillset, time commitments and travel requirements.
Cllr Letitia Smith, East Suffolk Council’s cabinet member for Communities, Leisure and Tourism said: “This event gives people in the Beccles area an opportunity to meet and learn more about the wide range of support and services available to them locally, and to find out more about getting involved in the community as a volunteer.”
This event is free and it will be taking place at Beccles Library, Blyburgate, Beccles, NR34 9TB. Refreshments will be available.
