Local nurse, Susan Geater, will be the Conservative candidate in the Leiston ward by-election taking place on 17th May 2018.
Residents in the Leiston ward, which encompasses Leiston cum Sizewell, Middleton, Theberton & Eastbridge, will be going to the polls to elect a new councillor to serve on Suffolk Coastal District Council.
Susan, who works as a nurse at the local doctor’s surgery and runs a small business, has lived in Leiston all her life.
She has also served on Leiston Town Council for about ten years.
Talking about her ambitions for the ward, she says:
“If elected, I would work to improve the quality of life for all residents of the ward. I believe that the council should provide good, cost-effective public services.”
She added: “I would support Leiston in its ambition to improve the viability of the town centre, working with the project to attract interest and investment.”
The by-election for Leiston Ward takes place on Thursday 17th May 2018, between 7am and 10pm.
