Cllr James Mallinder recently used some of his Enabling Committees budget to refresh and maintain Shottisham Trust Hall. The hall is owned by the local WI group and acts as the hub of the village. It’s used to host events, parish meetings and various coffee mornings.
The funding provided by Cllr Mallinder paid for a new coat of paint and along with lottery funding contributed to an upgrade of their public bathrooms to make them fully accessible for those with mobility issues.
Cllr Mallinder stated ‘I am delighted to support such a local group in my Ward- Shottisham is a small village, so my contribution makes a big difference – the hall is now ready to be a suitable venue for all in the coming years and it makes me very happy to support such an important village asset. ‘
