At last week’s Full Council meeting, the East Suffolk Conservatives continued to be active in articulating the concerns of residents and reminding the Council of the strong foundations they built as a lasting legacy.
Cllr Mallinder is seen here welcoming the newest member of the East Suffolk Conservative Group - Cllr Letitia Smith who won the by-election at Carlton Colville in July.
Cllr Smith was formerly the previous Cabinet Member for Communities Tourism and Leisure in the past Conservative administration. She comes with a wealth of knowledge and a strong record of delivering community projects.
She was warmly welcomed back by Cllr Mallinder as a refreshing addition to the Group and the Council.
Cllr Jepson and Cllr Geoff Lynch challenged elements of the GLI administration’s planned ‘Tree and Hedgerow Motion’, highlighting the lack of detail to implement such a policy. The administration was encouraged to provide more detail to support their proposals.
