At its Annual Council meeting on 20th May, Felixstowe Town Council elected Councillor Mark Jepson as the Mayor of Felixstowe for the Municipal Year 2020/21.
On accepting the office of Mayor, Cllr Jepson, said: “I am incredibly proud to have become the Mayor of Felixstowe, taking over from Cllr Nick Barber who for the second time in three years has done a fantastic job; I also want to thank him for his support and guidance while I was his Deputy.
I’m really looking forward to the year and hopefully being a very positive ambassador for the town. I am delighted to announce that the Citizens Advice Bureau and Felixstowe Carnival will be my nominated charities. Both for different reasons have a big impact on the town.”
Councillor Jepson is the Ward Member for Eastern Felixstowe and the Chair of the Felixstowe Community Partnership.
Congratulations to East Suffolk’s Councillor Mark Jepson, we wish him well in his new role.
